RIB Root / Garden: Care Notes
RIB Root is designed for low-water plants. Succulents, cacti, and drought-tolerant varieties are the natural fit.
Watering
Remove the insert from the Cup and hold it over a sink. Water thoroughly and allow to drain completely before returning it to the Cup. This is the correct watering method for succulents and keeps the drip tray functioning as intended. Allow the soil to dry out fully between waterings.
The drip tray
The drip tray catches residual drainage after watering. It is not designed to hold standing water long term. With correct watering practice it should accumulate very little. Slide the insert out slowly over a sink to check the water level through the translucent walls and empty if needed.
Materials
RIB Root is made from two materials for a reason. The planter insert is black PETG, chosen for its moisture resistance and to sit cleanly inside the Cup without drawing attention. The drip tray is translucent grey PETG, the same moisture-resistant material, chosen so water accumulation is visible during the maintenance gesture. The outer Cup is PLA, finished in the same matte palette as the rest of the RIB system.
Environment
Keep indoors and away from prolonged direct sunlight on the outer Cup. RIB Root is not suited for outdoor use.
